SyncBackPro allows the user to backup or synchronize their files with an email server whether SMTP, POP3, or IMAP4 (not to be confused with synchronizing emails). This is similar to backing up via FTP; however the backup is made via an email server e.g. Gmail and Yahoo. SyncBackPro provides advanced customization of the settings that allow the user to define SMTP and POP3/IMAP4 server connection details like "Must use SSL/TLS connection", "Direct SSL/TLS connection", and includes the ability to create a custom email body instead of using the default.
SyncBackPro allows the user to configure the program and profiles using their own scripts. Scripts are distinct from the core code of the application, which is written in a different language. Scripting is a way in which the functionality of SyncBackPro can be changed or extended.
What's new in this version: Version 6.0.12 fixes issues related to minimizing and restoring window.
My Personal Note:
***********************************
One of the best file and folder synchronization software I have ever used. Perfect if you want to sync your pendrive with your PC and laptop.
I use this software personally to sync my work/research folders with my dropbox folder (so it can be accessed effortlessly via tablet or phone) and backup the same folders to my other hard drive in real time.
What I like most regarding this software is the transparency, resource friendly and totally automatic. The smart sync is really smart. At the moment I saved a file, it will sync with other folder right away. (Smart sync only available at pro version...which is this version). If you fancy to sync your FTP server with your local folder automagically, this is among the gem you must get.
So, it is tested and works as it should be. As for my personal use, I would rate it as Indispensable (because I rather clone my work folder instead of doing complex backup such as what Acronis TrueImage or Genie9 does).
Remember: Hard disk failure is a guaranteed event. The question is, what will you do to guaranty your files and works safety? Always backup your work guys
